Stephanie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Language from Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN and completed her teaching credentials as well as the course work required for a Masters in Education at Lee University in Cleveland, TN. She has taught Spanish for 10 years, first teaching levels I-IV at Central High School of McMinn County and after the birth of her first son, began teaching privately to ages four through adult.
Stephanie has a passion for both teaching and learning, and is an advocate for the concept of “lifelong learning.” She believes no one is ever too old to learn something new or experience something for the first time. Stephanie works to make language learning fun with the use of songs, games, silly stories and play-based learning. Her primary goal is to ignite a lifelong desire in her students to learn languages and interact with cultures outside of their own.
Stephanie and her husband, Jake have been married for five years. They have two young boys who keep their hands full: Henry and Owen. Stephanie’s sons are constantly reminding her that learning happens everywhere, from grocery shopping fun to spontaneous dance parties, and everywhere in between. In the rare, quiet moments in which she isn’t chasing after her two boys, Stephanie enjoys reading and listening to podcasts.
